What We Build

Custom Home Builders in Charlotte and Lake Norman

Revival Construction designs and builds custom homes from the ground up for clients building in Charlotte and around Lake Norman. If you already own the lot, or you're about to close on one, we can walk you through what's possible on it and build the home around your family, not a floor plan off a shelf.

Custom builds are our longest and largest projects. Most take 10 to 14 months to construct once pre-construction is complete, and the finished home usually lands at or above the top of our typical range.

What's Included

From the first site walk to the final walkthrough.

Detached custom guest studio and garage by Revival Construction
  • Site and feasibility review once you own the property (we don't evaluate land before purchase).
  • Full coordination with your matched architect and interior designer.
  • Structural engineering, permitting, and construction management from foundation to final walkthrough.
  • Fixed-price contract once design and selections are locked.
  • The same Buildertrend photo logs and biweekly walkthroughs we use on every project.

Who It's For

You own the land. We build the home around you.

Homeowners who already own their land and want a builder involved from the earliest design conversations. A custom home is a full structure from the ground up, not a renovation of one, and the scope reflects that.

We ask that clients acquire the land before engaging us. Once you own the property, we can assess how the site fits your design and construction needs. We don't evaluate or help source land itself.

How Pricing Works

Pricing follows the finished design.

We do not sell custom homes by a single square-foot rate. Two homes with the same conditioned area can land hundreds of thousands of dollars apart once structure, site work, windows, cabinetry, mechanical systems, and finish level are different. But for honest orientation, looking at an average starting floor across our projects, our custom new construction builds start around $350 per square foot.

Because a custom home has no existing structure to react to, where yours lands depends entirely on the finished design. That's why the Pre-Construction Retainer matters even more here: it's what lets us build a real, fixed number before you sign a construction contract.

The Finish Level

The craftsmanship carries over, whatever we build.

Common Questions
