Build the work you'd put your name on

Revival is a close team building large-scale renovations, additions, and custom homes across Charlotte and Lake Norman. We hire carefully, train seriously, and keep the people we hire. If you take pride in the finished house and in how the job ran, keep reading.

The annual Revival Christmas party.

Why Revival

Close team. Visible work.

A small, experienced team runs every project we take on, and both owners are on site, not in an office across town. There is nowhere to hide on a team like this, and that is the point: your work shows, your judgment matters, and the client knows your name.

Every job runs on a fixed-price contract and a working schedule in Buildertrend, so the field is not fighting a number that was never real. Pre-construction finds the expensive questions before demo. The crews are trades we have worked with for years. It is a calmer way to build, and it is why our people stay.

The work should leave room for the rest of your life. Both owners have families, and Max has four boys, so when the day is done, it is done. Evenings and weekends belong to your family, and schedules are flexible. We don't hire people to babysit them. We hire people who care about the craft, own their projects, and take care of what needs doing during the week.

We want people with a real passion for this industry: people who take building science seriously and are always learning, from better assemblies and materials to the new technology that is changing how homes get built.

What We Offer

A respectful, positive place to work

Construction has a reputation for foul language and short tempers. We don't tolerate either. We push hard and hold a high standard, but nobody is going to breathe down your neck or micromanage you. And we expect everyone on our team to treat our trade partners with that same respect.

Pay that reflects the work

Competitive base pay. Project managers also earn commission on top of base, tied to performance and the volume they run.

401(k) with a match

A retirement plan with a company match, so the years you put in keep working for you.

Over three weeks of paid vacation

Every year, from your first year on.

Christmas week off

The company shuts down the full week of Christmas every year, and we take off all major holidays.

Evenings and weekends are yours

Flexible schedules and a team that shuts it off when the day is done. Take care of your projects, and your time is your own.

The right tools

A company cell phone, laptop, and tablet or iPad, set up for Buildertrend and the way we work.

A real onboarding

You shadow someone on our team to learn our systems and processes before you run on your own.

Time together

Summer boat days on Lake Norman, cookouts with the team and families, and service projects throughout the year.

Health coverage, your way

We don't offer a group health plan. We pay people what they're worth, and each team member chooses their own coverage through the marketplace.

The Roles

How the team is built.

Pre-construction sells, prices, and contracts the work. The Construction Manager leads the field. Project managers run each job, and site supervisors keep every site moving.

Every role runs on Buildertrend. You don't need to be an expert with software, but you should be comfortable picking it up. Not every seat is open every month, so if you fit one, send your resume anyway. We keep strong applications close.

Pre-Construction

Business Development8+ years

You are the first voice a homeowner hears, and often the reason they choose us. You build real relationships with the architects, designers, and realtors who work on the homes we want to build, run discovery calls, and qualify fit and budget honestly. You have spent enough time around custom construction to talk through a scope with credibility, so the conversation is about the house, not a pitch.

What you'll own

  • The lead pipeline from first contact through a signed pre-construction agreement.
  • Discovery calls and first site visits: scope, budget, timeline, and fit.
  • Referral relationships with architects, interior designers, realtors, and past clients.
  • Revival's presence at industry and community events.
  • A weekly read on pipeline, conversion, and where the leads come from.

What you bring

  • At least 8 years of experience in custom residential construction.
  • A working understanding of how a custom home goes together, enough to talk scope, schedule, and cost with a homeowner.
  • Comfort discussing budgets from $300K to $3M, and saying no to a poor-fit project.
  • An excellent listener and writer, polished in a client's home.
  • Comfortable with technology: a CRM, Buildertrend, and the usual office tools.

Junior EstimatorEntry level

You help turn a designer's drawings into a number the client can trust. You do quantity takeoffs, request and organize trade pricing, and keep a clean record of every assumption behind the estimate so nothing surprises us later. You learn what things actually cost by comparing your estimates to what the jobs really spend. This is a hands-on apprenticeship in high-end residential estimating.

What you'll own

  • Takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings for renovations, additions, and custom homes.
  • Soliciting, leveling, and organizing subcontractor and vendor bids.
  • The assumptions and exclusions log for every estimate.
  • Unit-cost and historical-cost data from completed projects.
  • Support for Red Light and Green Light client reviews and change-order pricing.

What you bring

  • A degree in construction management or engineering, or 1 to 3 years in a residential trade or estimating role.
  • Can read plans and think through how a house goes together.
  • Careful and curious: you want to know why a number is what it is.
  • Comfortable in Excel and willing to learn a takeoff tool such as Bluebeam and Buildertrend.

Construction

Construction Manager10+ years

The Construction Manager is our head of construction, and it is the most important seat we will fill in the years ahead. You are the most experienced builder in the room and the best at leading people. You set the standard in the field, develop our project managers and site supervisors, and settle the questions nobody else can. You take a finished estimate and set of drawings and turn them into a buildable, sequenced plan across every active job.

What you'll own

  • Leading and developing the project managers and site supervisors.
  • The master schedule across all jobs: trades, inspections, and long-lead materials.
  • The subcontractor and vendor bench: recruiting, qualifying, and holding them to standard.
  • Constructability review of plans and estimates before a job starts.
  • Quality and safety standards on every site.

What you bring

  • At least 10 years of custom residential construction experience.
  • A proven leader of field teams: people want to work for you, and they get better doing it.
  • Deep trade knowledge: you can walk a site and tell what is wrong and what it costs to fix.
  • Strong scheduling and procurement habits.
  • Comfortable with technology, including Buildertrend or a similar platform.

Project Manager5+ years

The Project Manager owns the job and the client relationship from contract signing to final walk. You are the one the homeowner hears from every day: what happened, what is next, what they need to decide. You direct the site supervisors on your jobs, keep Buildertrend current so the client never has to ask, and make sure the schedule and budget match what was promised. Pay is a base salary plus commission, tied to performance and the volume you run.

What you'll own

  • The daily client update, and Buildertrend logs, schedule, selections, and documents.
  • Directing the site supervisors on your jobs: priorities, deliveries, and punch lists.
  • Selections and allowances, chased early so materials are ordered on time.
  • Change orders: written, priced, and approved before the work happens.
  • Weekly client meetings and the pre-drywall, pre-final, and final walkthroughs.

What you bring

  • At least 5 years of custom residential construction experience.
  • Excellent written communication: you can explain a delay plainly and without excuses.
  • Reads drawings and knows the trades well enough to answer most client questions on the spot.
  • Organized to a fault.
  • Comfortable with technology: Buildertrend, budgets, and contracts.

Site Supervisor / SuperintendentCarpentry or framing

Site supervisors keep every job moving. You work alongside our project managers and go where you are needed across our active sites: keeping them clean and organized, running materials, meeting deliveries, and wearing the tool belt to knock out punch items and the small jobs that would otherwise hold a trade up. Your project managers set the priorities, and you make sure they happen.

What you'll own

  • Site cleanliness, organization, and protection of the home across active jobs.
  • Material runs, pickups, and meeting deliveries.
  • Punch-list and finish work with your own tools.
  • Keeping trades moving: sites open, staged, and ready.
  • Daily photos and notes in Buildertrend for your project managers.

What you bring

  • Hands-on experience in finish carpentry or framing.
  • A reliable vehicle and a clean driving record.
  • Takes direction well, and works on your own between sites.
  • Takes pride in a clean, well-run job site.
  • Comfortable using phone apps such as Buildertrend to log photos and notes.

Marketing

Marketing & Social Media Coordinator2+ years

You tell the story of the work. You are on site with a camera capturing progress, before-and-afters, and the details that make a Revival project different, and you turn that into a steady stream of Instagram, YouTube, and website content. You plan and produce client-story films at project completion and keep the portfolio current. This is an in-house, hands-on role: shooting, editing, writing, and posting.

What you'll own

  • The content calendar across Instagram, YouTube, and the website.
  • Weekly photo and video on active job sites; short-form and long-form edits.
  • Client testimonial and project-reveal films; coordinating professional photography.
  • Captions, project pages, and email content in the company's voice.
  • The portfolio, Google Business Profile, and engagement and lead-source tracking.

What you bring

  • 2+ years producing content for a brand, ideally in construction, architecture, design, or real estate.
  • Proven shooting and editing skills, with a portfolio to show.
  • A strong eye for architecture and interiors.
  • Comfortable in the field, on ladders, and around trades.
