About Revival Construction
Reviving Charlotte's Classic Homes
Revival was built around a simple idea: complex residential work needs more structure than a salesman, a superintendent, and a phone full of text messages. We built the team around the work instead.
That means real pre-construction, real field management, clean financial administration, and owners who stay close enough to the work to know what is happening.

The Founder Story
Two directions into construction, one conviction in Christ.
Max Messenger came up through his family's West Virginia sawmill and custom cabinet shop, then an engineering degree. Esiquio Uribe Cortes came to Charlotte from Cuernavaca, Mexico, and found his calling in restoration after eight years in banking. Two very different roads to the same belief: building well and treating people well are the same job.
Their friendship was forged in a hard season. When Max's oldest son was born with special needs and two large holes in his heart, later repaired, Esiquio was one of the people who kept showing up: to pray, to help, to stand alongside the family. Somewhere in that season they decided that if they ever built a business, they'd build it together. Today they're not just business partners. They're brothers in Christ, and that conviction shapes how Revival treats every client, tradesman, and vendor.
Max runs operations and growth and obsesses over the pre-construction planning that keeps a job from going sideways. Esiquio runs construction, fluent in English and Spanish, keeping management and the crews on-site tight. Both are family men with young kids at home, and it shows in how this company runs.

Raised in his family's sawmill and custom cabinet shop, then trained as an engineer. Max owns the planning that keeps your project on the rails.
Learn More
Being immersed in the construction industry since before he can remember, luxury renovations and custom cabinetry are in his DNA. Hailing from Morgantown, West Virginia, Max spent his summers at the family saw mill, in the cabinet shop, and helping run remodels. Shortly after graduating with an Engineering degree from WVU, Max and his wife Mary headed south and planted roots on the shores of Lake Norman.
Diving into the intricacies of each project, Max is deeply passionate about building science, staying attuned to the latest trends and technology, and optimizing project timelines. He firmly believes that meticulous upfront planning and transparent communication lay the foundation for a successful remodel, taking great pride in thorough preparation before the hammers start swinging. Above all, Max treasures the collaboration with clients, guiding their vision to fruition.
Max and Mary have four young boys and a big golden retriever named Hank. In his free time, Max enjoys spending time with his boys, going to local parks with the family, hiking, camping, and enjoying all that Lake Norman has to offer.
Shortly after coming to faith in Christ, Max met Esiquio, who was there often to shepherd and pray for Max through some of life's more challenging seasons. Through the years, their friendship would grow until they decided to go into business together. With their shared faith, they are committed to giving God glory through their work and the way they interact with clients, tradesmen, and vendors.
