Whole Home Renovation and Luxury Kitchen Remodel in Pellyn Wood, Charlotte

What started as a kitchen conversation on Pellyn Wood Drive turned into close to a whole home renovation.

The kitchen is the centerpiece. Jumbo porcelain slabs run up the walls and across the ceiling, with quartz counters, thick built up mitered edges, and waterfall returns that make the cabinetry read like it is floating. Walnut accents, specialty glass, metal cabinet doors by Elements, and low voltage lighting tucked where you never see the fixture. Appliances are a full Wolf and Sub-Zero package, plus a Zip Water system that pulls instant hot, instant cold, and carbonated water from one tap. Just off the kitchen we rebuilt the scullery in full custom cabinetry, which is the reason the main kitchen still looks like this.

We also built a custom wet bar and rebuilt the fireplace surrounds in a mix of wood and stone.

Upstairs was the bigger move. The attic was unfinished with no real way up to it, so we framed an entire new staircase, added a dormer and a run of windows across the rear, and finished the space into a conditioned guest suite for their daughter. Living room, bedroom, full bathroom. The dormer got its own metal roof.
